Love to see the testimony grow!

October 16, 2017
We have been working with our investigator forever to set a baptismal date. She has had a lot of doubts and, concerns, and questions that we’ve been able to work through. Her biggest concerns about baptism is that she is afraid she won’t be able to keep all the commandments. So, we decided this week that we would go over all the commandments with her in a “review session”. As we went through the commandments, I was seriously mind blown. When we first taught her all the commandments a few months ago, she never committed to living them, and she honestly was so skeptical. But this week, after each commandment we taught, we ask “Will you keep this commandment?” And every time when asked, she smiled and committed to live the commandments! As we went through, she would bear her testimony about how living that commandment has blessed her, and about how she also knew that it was a true commandment of God. We were so shocked, and I was so humbled. She is so ready for baptism! After we went through all the commandments, we said, “You are ready to make this commitment”.  Then she was quite for a second, and said, “Really? Do you think I can do it?” It was such a special moment! She really feels ready too.
She was the first person I met when I came to this area. She really had no interest at all. She would pray at the end of the lesson and say ” I don’t believe in God, I don’t have any desire, but please bless me”. When I first met her, I don’t know why, but I just felt something special for her. We connected super fast, and I understood everything she would say.  I feel like we were meant to meet. As we have continued to meet, I’ve been able to watch her progress and grow her own testimony. This past week, she bore her testimony to us about how she really knows God lives, loves her, and is watching out for her. Then she prayed and said, “Help me to prepare for baptism. I need the Holy Ghost in my life right”. I seriously almost cried! It’s been a miracle to see her change. Super humbled to be a part of it! SO EXCITED FOR NOVEMBER 5th!  Best birthday present!
This week, I fell super hard and hurt my knee. made me miss my mother. haha! Luv you mom!!!
