WHOAH THIS WEEK WAS SO GOOD I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO PUT IT INTO WORDS LIKE SERIOUSLY.
OBVIOUSLY ELDER OAKS CAME TO THE MISSION
I think it would take me a solid 5 hours to put everything I learned into an email. So, i’ll just put my favorite part.
So after the President of the 70 and the Area Presidency spoke, we had a question and answer time with Elder Oaks and the leaders.
Something I have been focusing a lot on lately is Charity. How can I love others more? How can I feel Christ’s love for me more? How can I learn to love Christ more? How can I access His atonement more in my life? (ps those are the questions of Emily Clegg’s soul right now lols!!!)
Anyways, I went into the conference with those sorts of questions on my mind. Which honestly, I think are the most important questions of the mission!!! haha seriously, isn’t that what everyone is supposed to learn the most about while serving?!!!
I was able to be one of the ones to stand up and ask a question!!! (ps coolest thing ever haha) The question I asked was, “how can I strengthened my faith from believing in Christ and His love and His atonement, to knowing it and knowing how to access His love and His atonement more in life?” (or something like that haha)
but anyways, WHOA SERIOUSLY SO COOL HE TALKED WITH ME FOR LIKE A SOLID 2 MINUTES ABOUT IT AND WHAT A POWER! haha I feel like a missionary for saying that .. but for real–coolest thing !
But I didn’t feel like my real questions were answered! But a few minutes later, Sister Oaks turned to me and said, “I want to answer your question” and she spoke to me and seriously… it was like Heavenly Father was speaking exactly to me, through her!
This is what I learned:
Through finding love and charity for others, you are able to feel and recognize Heavenly Father and the Savior’s love for you more. By serving others, giving of yourself and finding charity for others, you in turn are able to feel His love more fully for you and access His atonement more in your life.
TBH I didn’t get a chance to say thank you afterwards, but I think the first thing I will do in the next life is run up and give her A BIG FAT HUG! Seriously, so blessed to hear that from her.
Life is good!
I’m loving Korea!
My companion is doing awesome. Seriously such a blessing to be serving with her. I learn so much from her everyday. I think my favorite thing this week was yesterday. We had 4 appointments lined up in the morning, and then before we left the house, all had canceled! We were glad we had set a solid backup plan for the day! So we called all our backup plans and set out to visit those people. All of which declined, or were not home! We literally walked from 12 to 9 last night! Hahah near the end of the day, I was a little tired with new blisters on the feet. I expressed my concerns to her. She basically said, “get over it, Sister Clegg” hahahah we hugged and kept walking!!!!!!!!
LONG DAYS ARE ALWAYS WORTH THE GOOD DAYS THOOO !!!
This week was my one year mark–I ran home in the rain and had to take a picture to mark the day!
