little growth in the comfort zone

June 15, 2016 – Week 3 MTC

Never really know how to start these things. oops.

This week was super busy, but in a good way! The senior district left Monday and the new Junior District is coming in tonight. I was assigned to be the new STL, so it’s been a lot of work to get people checked out, and to get things ready for the new missionaries. It’ll be so fun to meet them tonight!

This week I focused a lot on how to call down miracles and be “spiritually powerful”. Elder Holland gave a really good talk that talked about it that I studied a lot. In the talk, there was this quote that went something like like,

“come to the edge, He said.
I didn’t come.
come to the edge, He said.
I didn’t come.
come to the edge, He said.
I came to the edge.
He pushed me off
and then I fly for the first time”

It made me think a lot about how if we want to grow, if we want to experience miracles, if we want to have spiritual power when we teach, we need to be able to “come to the edge” and trust in Him.

“There’s little growth in a comfort zone, and little comfort in the growth zone”.

LOVE THAT QUOTE! Doesn’t always have to relate to missionary work. We all need to trust in His grace, trust in His love, trust in His plan, come to the edge, and be pushed into success. He will enable us to fly and help us become spiritually powerful. We just have to trust Him and be able to risk everything we have.

This week I tripped and almost fell in front of my entire branch on Sunday as I was heading up to play the sacramental hymn. It was funny. Funny enough that the branch president joked about it later in the meeting. 🙂  Oh also found every time I’ve said “we” the past three weeks, I’ve actually been saying “duck”. HAHA oops. I guess the ducks in Provo are extra blessed.

I think that’s all.
